Continuous monitoring of asthma control

Project Overview

Asthma patients who experience asthma exacerbation currently do not experience the symptoms for up to two days after they have already started. We will be using instruments to measure the breathing rate to determine how well their asthma is controlled. This data will then be combined to notify an asthma patient when to begin their asthma action plan (AAP). The timeliness of this alert system will decrease the likelihood of emergency medical attention.
