Project Overview

Without proper coaching, poor exercise form is on the rise. The goal of this project is to design a system targeted at emphasizing proper technique and assisting users in reaching their own fitness goals.

The team decided to utilize motion capture technology to collect data on the body’s mechanics during exercise and give real-time corrective feedback to the user. Using an inertial measurement unit and programming via LabVIEW, the end product of the semester is a wearable band with a functioning user interface which corrects for a basic exercise.
