Project Overview

The goal of this project is to create a cell culture system that would accomodate an aptamer library of at least 250 nmoles for use in targeting and tagging patient cancer cells biopsies. The system must allow 250 nmoles of aptamers to continuously perfuse around a culture of at least one million adherent cancer cells in order to utilize the full library of aptamers. The device aims to optimize the probability of finding the most highly specific aptamer for a given target molecule while reducing the size and time restrictions imposed by the current Cell-SELEX method.
