Ventricular Assist Device Test Loop

Project Overview

The project is to develop a load to simulate the human body load so that it can be used to test ventricular assist devices (VAD). A ventricular assist device is connected to a patient’s heart to assist with the pumping of blood for patients with advanced heart disease. THe load simulator would consist of a loop of fluid with characteristics similar to blood. The load would need to be adjustable both statically and dynamically.
