Massage chair/table face cradle improvement

Project Overview

Can a massage chair face cradle be designed to both support and adjust dynamically to the client’s posture during a massage session? Massage chairs vary in their ability to properly support and adjust to a client seated in this chair. One current problem is the face cradle. While there are many models, none that our client has encountered have the ability to both support the head and neck as needed and to adjust as the client’s cervical musculature relaxes. What often results is discomfort for the client, whose neck remains compressed and hyperflexed or hyperextended by the limitations of the static head rest. We are attempting to balance support with dynamic, responsive adjustability for this part of the massage chair.
