Our client has an interest in various physiological measurements and how they relate to stress. He would like us to design a system that incorporates one or more of these sensor technologies into a system that can measure physiological signals, interpret these signals as stress, and provide useful biofeedback when needed. We have decided to work on a stress-sensing wristband that would be worn by all members in a public pool. The wristband would alert the lifeguard when someone in the pool is experiencing extreme levels of stress - an indication of drowning - and then it would display flashing lights and emit a localization signal. This direction was chosen because of how difficult it is for lifeguards to identify when someone is drowning, especially in a crowded environment.
