Project Overview
Uterine manipulators are most often used in laparoscopic surgeries (hysterectomies, myomectomies, and pelvic cystectomies) to increase visualization, improve stabilization of the uterus, and prevent injuries of surrounding tissues. The manipulator must be rotated, pushed, and translated, obviating a need for a handler to complete these actions. The team must create an attachment to a uterine manipulator to provide the user with better ergonomics and less fatigue for gynecology surgical assistants.
