This project has been secured to protect intellectual property.
Login for More InformationLabdaptations aims to design a a set of adaptive devices that aid a user with hypermobility issues due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and arthritis in gripping surgical devices.
Project Overview
A set of adaptive devices will be created for a client with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), who has difficulties maneuvering everyday lab and surgical dissection tools. These devices will come in a kit that is compatible with standard surgical tooling, including a pipette volume setter, pipette stabilizer, filter sterilization device, test tube holder, mouse transporter device, ice bucket holder, and Eppendorf tube rack. The devices that aid with tooling grippage will be able to be easily attached and detached from standard lab tooling for simplified sterilization and interchangeability with tooling.
