Develop a tool to allow for improved ergonomic rotation of the ureteroscope during laser lithotripsy.

Project Overview

This project aims to develop a universal adjustable clamp with simple adjustable tightness that can be applied to a wide variety of readily available ureteroscopes and give the operator extra grip to allow for more extreme and prolonged twisting of the ureteroscope to enable more optimal treatment of pathology (stones or tumors) in the renal pelvis and calyces. This rotational movement enables a deeper turn in to tight corners and calyces where stone or tumor might be difficult to reach and fully deliver laser treatment to in order to achieve better stone free rates.
