This project aims to redesign electrophysiologic catheter shafts in order to fit several catheters within a single sheath. Currently, every time an electrophysiologist needs to insert another catheter, the procedure requires insertion of another sheath or insertion of a very large sheath. Both of these options add risks to the patient by creating a larger wound or creating additional puncture wounds. Catheters that have a decreased proximal and medial diameter would allow several to fit within a single standard size sheath.
