Self measuring orthopedic drill system
Project Overview
A diverse group of BME’s from a variety of backgrounds, the self-measuring orthopedic drill team was forged on the foundation of creating simple and elegant solutions to everyday problems. Our client, Dr. Austin Green, has requested a system that measures the depth of a hole just drilled to eliminate the extra step of using a depth gauge during surgery. If this step is removed from every hole drilled, a significant amount of OR time can be saved which makes the process faster and more efficient for the patient, the surgeons and the supporting staff.
