Student Service Award

Patrick Buban, Eva Coughlin, Meghan Detra, Elijah Diederich, Alex He, Kasia Klotz, Jenna Krause, Thomas Kriewaldt, Tevis Linser, Anabelle Olson, and Cora Williams for their efforts above and beyond (an order of magnitude more) in the Biomedical Engineering Outreach Program (directed by Prof. TJ Puccinelli). By participating in a pilot mentor program with primarily underrepresented minority students in Sun Prairie schools for ten weeks. Since this was the pilot year, no curriculum had yet been developed. Our students spent considerable time developing design projects, and guided student groups through the design process including fabrication and prototyping. More importantly, they developed relationships with the kids and inspired them to pursue STEM.
