Project Overview

Sleep apnea is a common sleeping disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops throughout the night. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines are often used for the treatment of sleep apnea. If the hose connected to the mask becomes disconnected, serious complications can arise. Titan Tether, LLC. has developed a tether to catch a disconnected hose. The team is challenged with incorporating an alarm system in the device to wake the user and/or alert the caregiver of disconnection in order to readjust the apparatus.
