Labdaptations: dissection tools
This project has been secured to protect intellectual property.
Login for More InformationTo create accessible dissection/surgery tools for hands with arthritis, tremors, or weakness.
Project Overview
The STEM environment follows ADA requirements but rarely goes beyond this to actually make laboratory spaces accessible to those with disabilities. Equipment such as forceps and scissors to cuvette tubes create barriers for individuals with hypermobility issues due to the increased force needed to use this equipment. Our project’s goal is to create lab dissection and surgical instruments, or add on tools, with arthritis/stability/fatigue reduction in mind.
