IPhone app for diagnosing anemia in developing countries
Project Overview
Anemia is one of the leading causes of preventable death worldwide. One reason for this is the fact that proper screening is largely unavailable in impoverished areas due to location and the high cost of screening devices. We are developing an android app accompanied with appropriate, cheap, portable hardware that will be able to diagnose the presence and specific type of anemia as well as various cell abnormalities such as sickle cell and malaria.
