To develop an emesis bag that effective contains and neutralizes Norovirus.

Project Overview

Norovirus is the world's leading viral cause of acute gastroenteritis and annually there are approximately 685 million cases world wide. The virus is resistant to most common cleaners and can become airborne through emesis. Current emesis bags on the market are flimsy and don't have specific features to contain norovirus. Developing an emesis bag specifically for Norovirus will help decrease the tranmission of the virus and lower annual cases of infection.
