We are working on the human detection system of a robot they will eventually be alerted of a fall, find the fallen person, and then help them stand back up.

Project Overview

The final goal of this robot is to help our parents, grandparents, and elders stay independent for longer. Some people have spent days sitting on the floor of their own home waiting for assistance. We will be working on the system to detect the patient within their home using millimeter wave sensors. This sensors will be attached to a Roomba like platform robot. We can also check the heart rate and breathing of the fallen person to alert emergency services and other important contacts.
