The outcome of this project is to create a fusionless device to correct spinal deformity.

Project Overview

-Correct spine deformity (scoliosis) without fusing sections of the spine together while utilizing less invasive surgical techniques​
-Current common practice incorporates screws and metal rods to hold the spine while fusing sections together​
-Current devices provide linear solutions to a 3D problem​
-Prevent spinal curvature in the sagittal plane while enabling movement in the coronal plane
