Humidifying microplate lid

Login for More InformationThe goal of our project is to create a device that maintains the humidity of microplate for extended experiements
Project Overview
Dr. Elebeoba May’s research lab conducts extended measurements of cell samples in microplates using a non-humidified reader, but for certain studies, they require open microplates for the addition of different media or reagents. However, without a lid, the microplate contents are at risk for evaporation, which causes experiments to have to be terminated. To solve the issue of evaporation, the client seeks a low-cost, sterilizable, and reusable microplate lid cover for a standard 96-well plate that maintains a humidified environment to enable experiments up to 48 hours. Additionally, the lid should allow for simultaneous automated reagent addition.
