Project Overview
During an IUD insertion procedure, providers must cut the string of the IUD 3 cm away from the cervical opening. The desired string length makes the IUD easier to remove when necessary and prevents complications for the patient further down the line. The goal of this project is to design a medical tool that can provide an accurate cut on the string at the desired length, while being mindful of clinical applicability and patient comfort.
