Project Overview
This project aims to address the high cost and logistical burdens of standard cranial remolding orthoses and require frequent weekly adjustment visits or costly full re-fabrications as an infant grows. To solve these challenges, the project will design a low-cost, modular cranial remolding helmet engineered to be easily adjusted to accommodate ongoing head growth. By creating an adaptable, modular design, the initiative seeks to significantly reduce raw material costs, shorten fabrication lead times, and ease the clinic-visit burden for families, expanding vital pediatric care access within low-resource and global surgery settings.
