Neck extender/flexor to facilitate fluoroscopic examination of obtunded patient
Project Overview
Our goal this semester is to design a device that will flex and extend the head about the neck in a fluoroscopy room. The device is designed to not obstruct the radiographic imaging. It provides rotation about the spine isocentric to the normal rotation point for flexion and extension. It operates preferably by means of a motor and worm gear. Its cost of manufacturing should be less than $10,000.
