This wearable device will be paired with an app to correct form before injury in leisurely runners.

Project Overview

With 5% to 35% of the 38 million runners in the United States impacted by medial tibial stress syndrome, MTSS presents a significant risk. Prolonged rest is the most clearly effective treatment but can inhibit athletic activities for extended periods. Furthermore, no conclusive causes or prevention methods have been determined. We are eager to design a device that provides individualized feedback to runners, thus preventing MTSS.
