Gait trainer with treadmill
This project aims to design a lightweight, foldable transfer device that allows safe and efficient use of a Rifton Pacer Gait Trainer on a Horizon T101 treadmill, enabling year-round exercise and improved health for the client.
Project Overview
This project addresses the challenge of enabling safe treadmill use for a client with a mobility impairment and seizure disorder. While the client currently uses a Rifton Pacer Gait Trainer for outdoor walking, winter weather prevents consistent exercise. To solve this, the team will design a lightweight, foldable transfer device that securely positions the gait trainer on a Horizon T101 treadmill. The device will support both the client and caregiver, be easy to set up and store, and ensure long-term safety and durability.
