Analysis of insulating properties of skin (rodent)

The team's objective is to create a biomedical device which can monitor and quantify skin thermal insulation leading to advances in metabolic process understanding.

Project Overview

The insulative properties of mouse skin prompt significant changes in the rodents’ energy metabolism: increased heat dissipation and prevention of diet-induced obesity. The project team will create a reusable device that can detect thermal insulation from ex vivo skin by accurately measuring within a specified sensitivity and displaying the results.
